This series is an homage to a childhood memory and family lore. These were all painted from the offspring of a legacy plant, an Angel Wing Begonia that belonged to my grandmother Angelina (Staffiere) DeGregorio. In my memory her plant was enormous. From my mother then through the generations to the great grandchildren, we all have cuttings from that plant. I propagated about 12 plants in various heights and widths as source material for this series.
